I can only recommend a tour to Governor's Olive Mill to everyone. First of all, we were kindly picked up directly from the hotel by George, a kind-hearted member of the Dafnis family. He then drove us to the farm. There, a young colleague gave us a great tour of the farm with lots of interesting facts and some culinary delights to try. You can also buy the excellent olive oil directly in the shop. Afterwards, Georg drove us into the mountains to some of the oldest olive trees and gave us a second part of the tour. If you are on Corfu and have time for the long tour (about 3-4 hours), take it. We had a great time!

If you are interested in olive oil and want to learn about the quality and the different varieties at a tasting, this is the place to go. The trip there can be combined well, on the way from beautiful beaches in the southwest of the island. The team will answer all your questions and explain how to taste olive oil properly. We were thrilled and also bought olive oil. A visit is definitely worthwhile.

The Governor's Olive Tour turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Corfu! Yes, you will learn a lot about olives and olive oil history and production, you're in for an interesting experience of olive oil tasting and a visit to an old olive grove... but what elevates the whole experience and makes it truly one of a kind are the people guiding you through it! Eri and George are as much passionate and enthusiastic, as they are knowledgeable. They're friendly, fun and engaging, making sure the tour makes for a great experience for everyone.
